Affected by neck or shoulder pain? Then find some relief - and help others do the same!

Shoulder and neck pain sufferers in the Wendover area have a chance this spring to try out a natural therapy that has recently demonstrated outstanding success in treating another major problem, back pain.

It's called The Bowen Technique, and from now until June, local Bowen therapist, Annie Hamilton, will be taking part in a national research project organised by the Bowen Therapist's European Register, the principle registering body for Bowen practitioners. Annie who holds clinics in Dunsmore, Wendover, Great Missenden and Aylesbury is offering special rates to local people who sign up for a total of 3 treatments. As well as experiencing the benefits of the therapy, participants will be invited to contribute to the national survey by helping to record the effects of the treatment.

The shoulder and neck pain project follows research last year into the effect of Bowen on back pain which showed that 90% of people treated experienced either complete relief or a significant improvement in their condition-after no more than 3 treatments.

"Nearly every Bowen therapist can point to examples of the relief that the technique has provided for people affected by neck or shoulder pain. We believe there are potentially thousands more people who could be helped and this project will be used to promote awareness nationally."

Bowen has a very broad spectrum of application, including respiratory problems, frozen shoulder, whiplash, migraine, back pain, IBS, chronic fatigue, fertility matters and a host of other health issues. It has helped many people to lead more active lives, often enabling them to return to work after a lengthy absence. It has a remarkable record of alleviating shoulder and neck pain when no other treatment has provided significant relief.

Bowen is a gentle non-invasive complementary therapy. The therapist, using only thumbs and fingers, makes gentle rolling movements over muscles and tendons at precise points. The process releases energy, sending impulses to the brain to trigger the body's own healing systems.

Annie offers flexible clinic times at the aforementioned locations.
